These pages include a combined list of the vessels included on the authorized lists of CCSBT, IATTC, ICCAT, IOTC and WCPFC as at December 29, 2011. The information displayed for each RFMO refer to snapshots of their records of authorized vessels as per the following dates: CCSBT: 2011/10/31; IATTC: 2011/11/08; ICCAT: 2011/11/22; IOTC: 2011/12/08; WCPFC: 2011/10/26.
The standards for the exchange of data on vessels authorized by the RFMO referred to above were agreed in a Work Shop that was held in Rome in February 2011. (Click here to download a copy of the Rome RFMO Work Shop)
The complete Consolidated List of Authorized vessels can be downloaded in Excel 2007 (click here: CLAV_20121122xlsx.zip) or Comma Separated Values (click here: CLAV_20121122csv.zip) format, both compressed with WinZip.
Users should be aware that:
- The provisions existing for the authorization of vessels under one RFMO may differ from those existing at other RFMO. The type of vessels authorized by each RFMO are presented in Table 1 below.

- Large-scale fishing vessels: Authorization required for vessels having length overall 24 meters or greater
- Small-scale fishing vessels: Authorization required for vessels having length overall under 24 meters
- EEZ only: Authorization required for vessels that operate only inside the Economic Exclusive Zone (EEZ) of their flag States

- The Consolidated List of Authorized Vessels is updated weekly and represents a static snapshot of the vessel databases as at the above date; individual RFMO web sites should be consulted for their definitive lists.
- Some vessels may have duplicate entries in the list. Accordingly, the number of entries in the Consolidated List of Authorized Vessels is likely to exceed the actual number of authorized vessels.
- The Consolidated List of Authorized Vessels is a work in progress. Any references to it should specify the date on which it was accessed.
